Lucky Hit Road

Date posted:

The blue light disco stops and is shut down
and the frontier men return home, out of the cold.

The translucent, iridescent shells are taken from their cavities
and brought into the luminous technicolor light.

The splendour of the tufts and trinkets mesmerise
and the floor boards glisten with orthodoxy.

The hidden scars provide explanation
and unfiltered truth is insensitively exclaimed.

The silence brings with it a new perspective
and bounds are broken without fear.

The big questions go unanswered
and uncertainty plants its tendrils into novellas.
